off to kentucky

Pretty Partisan has had her ticket punched for a van ride to Kentucky. T Street's first love has been sold as a broodmare prospect and is reportedly booked to E Dubai. She finished up her career with 11 wins in 28 starts and earnings of nearly $250,000 (and she did it the hard way, too). Just a cool, cool filly.

Picture is from the winter of 2005. She's with Doug Nunn at Overbrook Farm where Doug put in a lot of time with her to get her back from an injury that following spring. We must have been 15o yards away, but she spotted us, no problem.

fitter and faster

Fortuna was back on the tab late last week. It looks like she went 5/8ths in company w/ Real Lace, another filly stabled w/ Tim. The clockers had the pair in 1.02 2/5, certainly much better than the 1.04 and change a few weeks back. She seems to be picking up the pace since arriving down at Fair Hill. Tim reports that her fitness level has improved and she's more into her galloping, which is great. We'll look around for a spot in 2-3 weeks, I'd imagine, but she seems headed the right way.

Picture is from her last at Philadelphia. I'll try to get a more recent photo that shows off her new muscles.
